Why the Southeast continues to stay behind

Whenever I heard places like Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Georgia, yet! you’ll never going to get all sides of the story.

My experience living in the southeast is slow-paced compared with the rest of the U.S.

I’ll go through both Pros – Cons. I lived in Atlanta for 21 years. If anything, I’ll have to disagree more often, that the Peach state will never be the tech hub of the south. Placing Georgia 2nd on CIO is down right wrong.

Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia No. 5 2016 Rank: 15 Rate of startup growth: 112.6 percent Share of scaleups: 1.34 percent High-growth company density: 191.4

Well I will say about Georgia is that, The city can be easy to get around. Some of the people he’s very friendly but however as far as being a tech hub you are going to get a good amount of a studios and companies

That are located in Atlanta,

Not just Atlanta, you do have Marietta , Alpharetta which are located up in the north side of Georgia.

Disadvantages

The urban living

When it comes to Atlanta, it does comes with disadvantages especially with the cost of living can be astronomically high. So if you’re looking to work in the tech sector chances are, you will be paying a good amount for rent or your home.

Countryside

To move away from urban living, the big giveaway that makes Georgia stunning is the gorgeous countryside.

However, there are local technology companies you can still find locally. if you were looking to work for the bigwigs, it won’t be locate outside of the countryside, Georgia is very much known for its agriculture. Macon, another city, that is 84 miles away.  For many years, the city officials have been saying that they were gonna end up expanding its infrastructure but the way it sounds,  it continues to be so behind with the times.

Pros

Tons of new housing developments, The city has a lot of new what are the best things about Atlanta Georgia is you can still get around the city with your problem. One of the best times to travel to Atlanta is off-season, when it is not weekends, weekdays are good travel before peak rush hour between 4-6pm

Cons

Underdeveloped infrastructures,  transportation going outside the city is a joke, The Marta does not stretch out outside of the city of Atlanta. The state is very much heavily rely on driving. which means you have to battle traffic mornings and afternoons throughout the 9-5s.

Now if you live in the inner cities the good thing is that it does have the MARTA train and bus transit.

if you need to pay right through your phone. A lot of them merchants do not carry contactless pay. you will need your credit/debit card with you.

Conclusions

If you do plan on living in Atlanta chances are it may not be an easy go around if you’re just going to find work, outside Metro Atlanta, maybe. While the city is growing and why people are moving elsewhere due to the high cost of living up in the Northeast and the West Coast states. My experience living 21 years, Atlanta isn’t the best thing to live, the plus side is that. You still got a good affordable living outside of Atlanta if you’re willing to travel from and to work.
